Science: Class 4: Chapter 7

Lecture 2: Earth and its Resources

Resources are things we get from Earth to help us live. They are divided into two types: renewable and non-renewable. Renewable resources can be naturally replaced, like sunlight, water, air, forests, and soil. Sunlight provides light and warmth, water is essential for drinking and electricity generation, and air is vital for breathing and can also generate electricity through windmills. Forests supply wood and oxygen, while soil supports plant growth and is used to make items like bricks and utensils. Understanding these resources helps us appreciate how Earth supports life and human needs.
