Lecture 3: Non-Renewable Resources

Non-renewable resources are natural materials that cannot be easily replaced once used up. Examples include natural oil, natural gas, minerals, and fossils. Natural oil, formed from ancient sea creatures, is used as fuel and in products like paints and medicines. Natural gas, created similarly, is used for cooking, heating, and electricity. Minerals such as gold, silver, and iron are mined and used in everyday items like jewelry and utensils. Fossils are the preserved remains or imprints of ancient organisms, like dinosaurs. Understanding these resources helps us know their value and the importance of conserving them.
