English: Class 5: Chapter 7

Lecture 1: What Goes Around Comes Around

The story What Goes Around Comes Around is a fable about a mouse and a frog. The frog tricks the mouse into joining him in the water by tying their feet together with a thread. While the frog enjoys himself, the mouse drowns. Soon after, a hawk catches the mouse and drags the frog along as well, leading to the death of both. The story teaches the moral lesson “As you sow, so shall you reap”, showing that selfishness and cruelty bring harm back to the one who causes it. The lesson also explains the concept of a fable, introduces new vocabulary, and provides grammar activities such as gerunds, vowel and consonant sounds, and comprehension exercises.
