Math: Class 3,4,5: Chapter 6,6,7: Points, Lines and Angles

Lecture 3: Points, Lines and Angles

Points, lines, and angles are the basic elements of geometry. A point shows an exact position in space and has no length, width, or height. A line is a straight path that extends endlessly in both directions, while a line segment has two endpoints, and a ray starts at one point and extends endlessly in one direction. When two lines, segments, or rays meet, they form an angle, which is measured in degrees (°). Angles can be right (90°), acute (less than 90°), obtuse (more than 90°), or straight (180°).
